We are a 501c3 non profit snowmobile club based out of Carbondale Colorado.
We provide our members with groomed trails, maps and maintain the parking lot. We normally host social activities and events however due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are unable to provide this. As a member you will be able to continue to enjoy the outdoors safely and happily even though everything else is limited we encourage you to get out and enjoy everything the winter has to offer. We offer the perfect weekend activity for all of the family to enjoy we are a friendly and welcoming club here to support you either learn about snowmobiling safely or continue to enjoy everything the area has to offer with a team of like minded individuals. All members are encouraged and given the information to learn about search and rescue, safe snowmobiling and more, as well as being provided with each seasons maps so they can learn the area find what suits their needs. The club had a integral part in the development of the Sunlight to Powderhorn (S-P Trail System), which can be utilized by any now-loving person such as snowmobilers, cross country skiers, snowshoers, dog sledders, and Argo riders. Mt. Sopris Rec. Riders is responsible for snow grooming 100 miles of the Trail along with many other near by trails to ensure our snowmobilers have the perfect terrain for their ability and need. The club also marks trails with diamonds and poles allowing our members to follow the trails and understand their difficulties helping keep everyone enjoying the powder safe and happy. Our volunteers continue their hard work through the summer to ensure the trails are ready for winter enjoyment working with the national forests service. Trail maps are published for the public's use with the help of our sponsors and national forest service so everyone can feel confident of where they are during their winter adventures. |
